  4. Sultan Trebezid, the Shadow of the Dragon – Said to be dragon-blooded and extremely well versed in prophetic arts and arcane divinations, Sultan Trebezid served as Mharot’s first recipient of dreams.
  5. Sultan Omayed the Munificent – The morza loved him because he excelled at extracting taxes from the poor and the artisans, but the jambuka hated him, for he preached always of a “golden blood”.
  6. Sultana Petek Rayhana the Golden – Petek Rayhana was a woman raised in Perunalia who came to Harkesh as an adult and quickly became a wealthy, powerful leader of artisans and scholars.
  7. Sultana Gülnur Peteka, the Silent Rose – The Sultana Gülnur spent time consolidating the conquests of her predecessors, building roads and fortifications, planning new thrusts against Ishadia and restoring the fleet to chase down Marean pirates.
  8. Sultan Omayed the Younger – A great and deeply devout follower of Khespotan, Sultan Omayed, it was said, would not leave bed without consulting his fortune.
  9. Sultan Zelim the Wastrel –  Sultan Zelim had found a way to expand the power of the empire without all the expense of armies. He brought the blood mages of Kaa’nesh to his court, and they explained things of a few of the dark arts and the joys of Malena, the Red Goddess, and his armies found it easy to conquer towns and villages struck down by plagues and mysterious fevers.
  10. Sultan Makbule Khezmir the Wise – With military experience and a deep sense of how corruption and arrogance can lead a ruler astray, Sultan Makbule Khezmir is certainly among the most humble and honest to hold the title.

6. The Pre-Empire Dragons

  1. Kavrosh Hellfires – Greatest of the red dragons, slain by an alliance of three other dragons a thousand years before the Pact.
  2. Dyssanvir Startouched – a star dragon who dabbled in the ancient magics of the stars. Friend of elves who supposedly left the world.
  3. Varoska Sunhewer – a void dragon said to be one of the most dangerous creatures to walk the lands. Destroyed by beings beyond the void.
  4. Lankavaar the Desert Sands – a desert dragon whose network of caves is said to extend across the empire. Assassinated by a cult whose ranks grew within her followers.

7. Factions

  1. Blood Mages of Kaa’nesh — blood mages who train and enchant powerful ogres
  2. The Ghost Folk — misshapen followers of the White Goddess who lurk in subterranean tunnels beneath the nation.
  3. Azure Band – Criminal Organization in the Dragon Empire
  4. Lower Left Hand of Nakresh – The boldest and most daring of his thefts.
